This month, work has continued at Marvin Caldwell Park and crews are now identifying the exact location of the Splash Pad equipment! The restroom footings were completed and construction has officially begun on the restroom facilities within the park. The parking lot expansion is underway, and the sub-base of the new basketball courts has been applied.

At Ramsuer Park, a retaining wall is being constructed to help with stormwater runoff, curb and gutter work is underway in the new parking lot area, and a new water tap is being installed.

The Academy-Gibson Athletic Fields have been completely graded, and the proof roll of the artificial turf field is being installed. Crews have paved the walking path near the newly installed playground at Gibson Field, enhancing the areas park-amenities.

The next park anticipated to begin construction is Dave Phillips Park. Parks still in the design phase include the Academy-Gibson Skate Park, Pump Track, and Sculpture Garden, Hartsell Park, Poplar Tent Trailhead, and Wilson Street Park.
