Construction is officially underway at Dorton Park! Renovations began in September 2023 and are anticipated to be completed in spring 2025. Renovations to Dorton Park include expanding the parking lot, adding a new playground, adding two new pediestrian bridges over the Afton Run greenway, expanding the current disc golf course from 9 holes to 18, and adding a connection to the Coddle Creek greenway. In addition, the current restroom buidling will be expanded and include an adult changing table.This new ADA accomodation is the first of its kind in Cabarrus County and will greatly improve accessibility for residents.
