On March 25, Mayor Dusch, members of Council, Team Concord, and special guests - Mr. James L. Dorton’s wife, Margaret, and daughter, Louise, gathered to celebrate the grand re-opening of Dorton Park!

This marks our first completed Parks and Recreation Bond project! The renovations at Dorton Park included disc golf expansion, resurfacing of the tennis courts with added pickleball lines, expanded parking, field renovations, stream restoration, and two new pedestrian bridges. Improvements were also made to the restrooms and our county’s first-ever inclusive changing table was added thanks to our partnership with Willow's Wish Foundation, making our parks accessible for all to enjoy!
