Your Bond Dollars At Work!
Shaping Our City, Our Parks, Our Future.
In November 2022, City of Concord voters approved a $60 million Parks and Recreation General Obligation (GO) Bond.
The bond includes funding for 9 total park projects – 4 brand new parks and renovations to 5 existing parks. It also includes the addition of 8 miles of new greenways within the park projects.
Community input led to the development of the concepts and plans for these projects, thousands of comments from residents during the public input process helped determine the features, amenities, and parks the public want.
Community Update Meetings
The Parks & Recreation department is holding community update meetings for each bond project as they near construction. During these drop-in style meetings, residents can learn more about the planned work at the specific park, park amenities, and anticipated timelines.
Academy-Gibson (Skate Park/Pump Track/Sculpture Garden): December 7th at 6:30 p.m. at ClearWater Arts Center & Studios, located at 223 Crowell Dr. NW. The meeting will take place in the Greenway Gallery.
